Church Beck House, Vale of York

Extremely well equipped and comfortable house which is well placed for the lovely village and surrounding areas. Good food at both the Yew Tree and The Plough which are within easy walking distance. Snooker table and hot tub kept us all entertained and the fizz and tasty goodies on our arrival were a lovely touch. This was a great stay and very good value for money. The kitchen was brilliantly equipped & the snooker room was a great place to spend hours playing & having fun. The hot tub is huge and 7 guests easily fit into it! It was perfect for relaxing. Location is really good also with it only being 15 minutes drive to Scarborough. All in all 10/10! Stayed for Christmas 2023. 2 families. A beautiful house in a beautiful area and location - really oldy woldy and a lovely feel. Has everything we needed although a few niggles / things to suggest they are mentioned on the advert as below: - we were under the impression the picture of the front of the house was the property we had rented - not tRead morehe side door entrance being our main one. - we were not told that it was 2 properties within one, or if so this was not made clear at all - privacy; after arriving and realising our entrance was the side door and the main picture of the front of the house was not ours, when sitting in the lounge we had numerous people walking past the windows whilst sitting there which felt very uncomfortable and not very private. - the hot tub was great and we loved it! But it had been moved from the photos and wasnt on the patio. It was on the grass opposite and meant getting down the steps onto the grass with wet feet making it muddy feet. If its going this side it needs a mat or something rather than stepping directly onto grass Other than some of these things to suggest mentioning on the add we had a really lovely stay, great take away from carols plaice. Lovey touch with a welcome prosecco and Yule log - much appreciated. The property is gorgeous and even though the church bells rung a lot we got used to it and didnt bother us after a while.
